Week two events...

family photo, ella is inside the wonderful moby, staying nice and warm with her mama :)

Week two of Ella's life was pretty great. She is eating lots and sleeps most of the night...well, we put her to bed at like 2am and then she wakes me up at like 5 or so...but then we sleep until 830...so overall, a wonderful sleeper. Most of you know that i dont handle smelly things very well -- in fact i usually vomit...but i have been handling her smelly diapers and everything that comes along with that with ease...im very proud of myself...lol...we had only one visitor last week, auntie jess -- she came by on thursday and we had some coffee and chatted on the couch for a couple of hours...which felt really nice, cause at times i feel so lonely and bored just being at home with ella -- i mean she cant respond to anything im saying to her...and i dont really expect her to either...lol....

We decided last Friday to bundle her up and head to the pumpkin patch...yeah, i know what you are thinking -- did these two idiots really take their 13 day old daughter to the pumpkin patch...but please rest assured...we were there for literally 5 minutes, as there were no pumpkins left for us to grab...as a result...we took some pictures and were on the road to home :) however, it was a lot of fun to do something as a family :) stay tuned for the pictures of the pumpkins that we carved...

before we left the house...all bundled up...

this last monday marked her two week check up at the doctors...where she was weighed...and guess what? she gained 7oz in 7 days...pretty much amazing....so all that eating is paying off...she now weighs a whopping 5lbs, 5oz - and i couldnt be happier...i cant wait till she is a little bit bigger so i dont feel like i am going to break her with every touch...below are some pictures from the appt...jon is holding her while they draw her blood for the pku -- and believe it or not, but she slept through the whole thing...

getting ready for her big visit
here are some random pictures from this last week that i liked...i cant believe how much i love this little girl...she seriously completes me and i dont think i have ever been this happy in my entire life...however, i have a ton of anxiety right now...im terrified to take her anywhere because im scared that when i turn a corner that i will go too fast and her head will fall off...did anyone else feel this way or am i just super weird? jessy suggested that i join a mothers group -- that way i can talk to other new moms...cause she assured me that im probably not the only one who fears this type of thing...i dont know...its just wierd...im so scared that i am going to break her that i dont want to go any where...she is just so tiny and when i put her in that car seat...it just doesnt seem right...the buckle takes up her whole little body...ehh..im so weird....

Yaaaaaaaaaay! I'm so happy you posted pics! I'm very proud of you and I promise I will come visit you soon. I'm sorry you've been feeling lonely, things will get better for sure. Once you feel a little bit more comfortable with her in the car seat, you will be all over the place! Don't worry :) Get as much rest as you can right now! I'll ask Lisa about the peps group.

Love, Me :)
