wow, time is flying by...

so ella is now just over a week old, ten days to be exact. she is absolutely perfect, and i couldnt have asked for a better daughter. we had her one week appointment on monday -- and she weighed 4lbs 13.5oz -- so slowly making progress...but the doctor hopes that by next monday she will be back up to her birth weight -- and im hoping so too cause she eats like a little piggy...lol

our first week with ella flew by -- however, im exhausted. while she doesnt wake up during the middle of the night -- i wake her up to feed, that way i can ensure that she gains weight...i think it makes her a little mad, but in the end she likes it cause i let her snuggle on my chest afterward until we wake up in the morning....i guess thats a treat for her and i...it just makes me feel that much closer...

we had a few visitors -- my parents, jess, jill, sean and rachel...while that doesnt seem like a lot, it felt like a lot just cause i was so tired....it was so nice to see everyone though and im glad that they all took time out or their days to make it over and see our little princess...

on saturday we celebrated ellas first week of life at auntie jessica's house down in ballard -- while it was originally supposed to be baby shower, we decided that since ella wanted to go so bad that we would use the time to celebrate her life. i would like to thank all the wonderful ladies that came and were a part of it, i dont think i could have ever asked for something as nice as that -- it was very relaxing and overall just a great time...ella got lots of nice gifts, ranging from baby supplies to a snuggy-wrap for her carseat and a swing and elephant from build a bear...i would also like to thank jess and jilly for putting it all together as well as georgia for making those AMAZING cupcakes...i could eat those all day i think, in fact im craving them as we speak....

when we got home on saturday night, i decided to have a little photoshoot with our baby girl -- cause even though its only been a week, i noticed that she doesnt look anything like she did when she was born -- and i want to make sure i capture every moment...i have a feeling in going to be one of those annoying moms...she did such a good job letting me strip her down and totally photo-shock her...i cant wait to print them all out cause there were just so many good ones :)

anyways, check out these amazing pictures...they make my heart melt :)

oh, and dont let me forget -- i have such an amazing husband...on friday i got a knock on the door -- and he got me this yummy ediable arrangement...i was so freaking excited...he said it was cause he was so proud of me and that he wanted me to know how much it meant to him...how sweet, right?
